Why do most guys start wearing long hair as teenagers?

Do they not have the opportunity to do that in their childhood?Why do most guys start wearing long hair as teenagers?
Because it is the period in our lives where we are too old to be forced by our parents to get it cut, and too young to get a job, when the employer will usually tell us to get it cut aswell.Why do most guys start wearing long hair as teenagers?
They do it because as children their parents wouldn't let them grow their hair that long. Also because some people might be emo (emotional) and that is the style for emos.
Most parents don't allow it when they're little. It takes away from their ';innocence';. And I guess it's just mostly a fashion trend for teenage guys.

They think they look cool and impress their friends and the girls XD
