What are the benefits of having long hair? What are the benefits of having short hair?

On/for a girl. I'm a girl and am debating on what to do with my hair. What are the benefits of having long hair? What are the benefits of having short hair?
I've had really long hair and really short hair. In my opinion really long hair has no advantages unless you're a Civil War reenactor, or have really amazing naturally red or blonde hair you want to show off. Regular long hair is conventional. If you don't want to stand out, it's your best bet. It looks nice for things like formal occasions like weddings and proms. It doesn't need to be cut as often and lazy hair lets you be lazy because you can just put it in a ponytail. It's better for heavier girls or less attractive girls because it helps balance the body and draw attention away from the face. Short hair really exposes the face. If you have no cheekbones, hairstyles above your chin are difficult to wear. Short hair, on the other hand, makes you stand out. It's easier to deal with if you pick the right style (ie, don't get a pixie when you have curly hair, because you'll spend forever ironing it out). It's more comfortable, makes you look better in hats, and barely needs to be brushed or combed. It also tend to be in better condition because it doesn't have the chance to get long and ratty. What are the benefits of having long hair? What are the benefits of having short hair?
I've had very long hair for a long time, and have only cut it off about 3 or 4 times, for me it's much easier then short hair. If I want it to be curly, I curl it, if I want it kind of wild I braid it the day before and wet the braids and (depends how wavey I want it to be depends how many braid I put and if after I wet the braid if I put setting jell or mouse on them)it just depends. Most of the time I just have it fixed up in a ponytail or loose braid for everyday casual do's. It's always been alot ot fun having long hair. But, I regret cutting it everytime I did, because it was always a hassle working with it all the time, so I guess for some people long is better and for some short is better for them..Personally I like the versitality of long hair..Hope I helped with your question..... Let me know what you decide......

Bella
haha that was my question for a while too.

long hair - you can easily style it by ponytails, braid, buns, etc.

short hair - you can easily curl it or put waves in it, but you can't put it up in pony tails, etc. most times.

if you play sports or need your hair out of your face i woul dgo for a little longer but it is totally up to you. and always remember your hair will grow back.

p.s. what my friends and i did we went to this fun unique wig shop and tried on different styes and cuts to see which looked the best.

hope this helps
It depends what your into. Id say if you like to do sports then id go with shoulder length its easy to keep up with and pull back. If you want and edgy kind of look you could do a pixie cut ex alice in twilight. I love long hair because you can do anything with it. Hmm i would say medium length.
short hair is easier to style, more comfortable in the summer and usually more manageable.

long hair gives you more options in styling (ponytail, up dos, romantic curls), you can vary a lot with it, and its more feminine
shorter- takes less time to do, looks just as cute

longer- you can do EVERYTHING with it, well worth the time it takes to get ready(most people i know prefer long hair including me)
For long hair. Makes people looks softer. You can do more stuff with it. Basically anything.

Short hair. It looks cuter. Easy to style, maintain.
