How can I keep my long hair tangle free?

I have brastrap length hair, since I have let it grow out it seems to tangle and look stringy about 10 minutes after i brush it. Is it normal to have to constantly brush your hair to keep it looking nice? How can I keep my long hair tangle free?
Yes it is normal, but there are definitely ways to fix that! I have very long too and I barely brush it because of what I do to it.

So first, shower with conditioner and after applying conditioner leave it in for about 3 minutes before washing it out.

Next, put in some leave in conditioner and brush it through.

Lastly, spray in with some finishing spray and you're good to go!

Here are some good products to use!

it depends on where is tangling, if its the midway hair shaft you have split ends and need about 4 cuts to fix the problem or if its from root to end you should look for a leave in conditioner i like the bio-silk hair products.
The best advice i can give you is to carry a brush more often or change your shampoo.. your shampoo could be causing too much elasticity in your hair which is causing it to tangle way to easy...

If that isn't the case then just apply a bit of mouse to your wet hair.. not a lot of it.. just a bit!
If its looking stringy, then its needs a trim. To prevent tangles, comb a leave in conditioner through the ends after your shower.
yea thats why i have a brush in my locker a brush in my purse and a brush in my backpack.no lie.lols
I have the same problem. My hair will tangle right at the back of my neck where all my colars are.

You need to get a good detangler conditioner. Also, you want to comb your hair when it is wet and then use a brush when it is dry. Brush your hair Underneath the hair as well.

You can use a very light styling mousee that will also help keep the hair tammed and not tangled.
Use a conditioner that is made for tangled hair and the shampoo goes with it you can get it from cvs or the beuty shop either way they work really good and ...you can also try combing it instead of brushing it brushing can ruin your hair and cause spilt ends which blocks the hair form growing and lol my hair goes to my bra toooo!
Typically the rule is, the longer it gets, the more you brush!

There are tiny travel brushes you can carry with you in your purse. Any time you go to the washroom or whatever, give it a light brush!

Get trims regularly (every 4 to 6 weeks)

Use a shine mist on the ends to stop if from tangling between brushings... just spray once or twice a day! Too much will make your hair look greasy.
