Do long hair persian cats hair grow forever or stop at a specific length?

Our cat had a lion cut at the time we got him and it is now about 4 inches long and has not stopped growing. Is there an end to the growth or will he eventually need to have it cut.Do long hair persian cats hair grow forever or stop at a specific length?
No a cats fur continues to grow, it grows to a certain length and the will either mat up from lack of brushing or cat will shed hair, and will still need brushing.Do long hair persian cats hair grow forever or stop at a specific length?
It continues to grow as long as it is alive but the hair falls out eventually and also the hair will wear away when the cat is active in nature. so will only grow to certain length before being naturally ';trimmed';!
Cat hair is like a plant, keep your cat out of the sun and don't water it and you'll be fine.
usually it stops growing but it can get very long. You will end up needing get it cut.
you cut it until it stops
