How am I supposed to grow long hair?

My hair is about 5 inches from how long I want it. How do I wait that long?! (It will grow in about ten months) I still need to get trims every now and then, but I'm always tempted for a quick fix to get more style for my hair.

One last thing- do you think lower-back length hair with lots of layers along the face and back of the hair would look good with someone with a round face? How am I supposed to grow long hair?
Hi Sora

I have the same problem so I've done a lot of research, but ill try to keep it short:

%26gt;First, i would recommend a trim about every two months but MAKE SURE TO TELL THE HAIRDRESSER TO CUT OFF AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE (I had a ';trim'; yesterday and they butchered my hair which is why I suddenly need it to grow)

%26gt;Take vitamins- Biotin is great for hair, nails and skin, I would also reccomend a multivitamin as well

%26gt;Eat fruit and veg- carotene in carrots is supposed to be good as well as many of the antioxidents in fruits

%26gt;Drink LOTS of water- not fizzy drinks etc, at least 8 glasses a day

%26gt;I havn't tried it myself but look into mane N' tail shampoo (yes, for horses, but people have claimed fantastic results)

%26gt;Look into Hair Formula 37- its had AMAZING reviews

%26gt;For the layers, feathered at the front should suit your face- I would also suggest a parting to the side slightly to stop your face from looking two round and symmetrical

%26gt;The back shouldn't be affected by your face but I personally wouldn't suggest too many

I also have a similar question, so feel free to take answers from it:

Hope this helps, good luck! How am I supposed to grow long hair?
It depends on how round your face is.. but for the most part, yes that would be flattering. A thing you can do is go to any vitamin section at any grocery store or Target or Walmart and get Biotin. It is a hair, nail and skin vitamin and will boost your hairs growth. Do NOT use pantene. You need to buy some quality shampoo from your salon with the same pH balance as your hair. Hair ranges from 4.5-5.5 on the pH scale. I suggest any Joico shampoo %26amp; conditioner.
I think the best way is to leave it naturally, don't straighten it more than 2 times a week and let it dry naturally. Sometimes because the scalp is dry, hair doesn't grow. In my opinion, shampoo has a big role for growing hair. Try using pantene and you'll notice a difference.

im trying to grow my hair too.

:)
actually the best solution is too cut it, it will grow longer if you cut it.. don't cut it that much though just a little bit, trust me it works
Be sure to cut your hair every two months or so (this will actually speed up the growth) and try Biotin, a vitamin that helps with hair growth.
deep condition your hair and take really good care of it, and it wil grow faster :) and yes that wuld look really cute
